IncredibleArticles.com - Health - NutritionTwo steps to good healthby Incredible Articles - Last Modified: 11/13/2007 down to Earth approach to good health.
Coming to think of it you don't need rocket science knowledge to achieve good
health and to continue healthy for the rest of your life.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO? You may ask.
You do two simple things:
(a) find out what ingredients your body needs to be healthy and
(b) supply those ingredients (food supplements) to your wonderful body in a
regular basis.
In the "Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994," Congress
defined the term dietary supplement. http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/ds-oview
.html#what. as-quote 'dietary ingredients' vitamins, minerals, herbs or other
botanicals, amino acids, and substances such as enzymes." End of quote…
There you have it… It is easy to keep yourself healthy… and we are not
talking here about taking drugs, but about nutrition. Yes…TO BE HEALTHY all
you need is a complete nutrition intake diet daily and change a few habits.
It goes like this… If you feed your body well, your body is going to take
very good care of you for the rest of your life.
So you don't have time for a nutritious breakfast in the morning? Or to stop
for a good meal at noon due to your busy schedule? I don't blame you. And
you are not alone. BELIEVE ME. Almost everyone in America is as busy as you
are.
So you grab a cup of coffee and donuts on your way to work in morning and
order fast food for lunch. Then in the evening you reward yourself with a
heavy dinner. YOU FEEL YOU DESERVE IT. DON'T YOU? That by the way is the
shortest road to obesity land, since you don't spend any calories while you
sleep during the night.
But you are a smart individual and decide to make a change in your diet. You
start the day with a complete wholesome meal. In the morning your body is
ready to burn the calories into energy while you work. This by the way will
make you sharpest and more efficient at work. At noon you have a medium size
lunch. Finally your smaller meal of the day will take place in the evening.
As the saying goes. Eat breakfast as a King. Lunch like a prince and dine
as a poor man. Having done this you will sleep deeply and will be much more
rested in the morning. PLUS YOU WILL BE HUNGRY FOR A BIG BREAKFAST AGAIN.
Doing this you will enjoy of… well… a slightly better health. NOT EXCELLENT
HEALTH YET. What is missing in your diet to achieve excellent health? The
minerals are missing. You see the veggies, grains and seeds you eat have very
few minerals in them, because the farm-lands where the produce is planted
are already depleted of minerals. After so many years of harvesting, the
soils got depleted of the precious minerals that your body needs to keep in
optimal health. Reason why we all must take food supplements.
Your body needs minerals like: calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, chromium
and many other minerals and trace minerals. The human body needs all the
nutrients required to make healthy cells. This is important because the new
healthy cells go to build healthy tissues to keep the organs working with
efficiency.
On the other hand if your diet does not provide these raw materials, your body
will manufacture imperfect cells that will build weak organs that will not
work right.
THERE IS NO WAY YOUR BODY WILL BUILD HEALTHY CELLS IF THE PRIME BUILDING
MATERIALS ARE NOT ALL PRESENT.
And as a result of mal-nutrition we get sick with the well known nutritional
related illnesses in America today. Allow me to mention a few of them here:
Obesity, osteoporosis, arthritis, high blood pressure and diabetes.
In addition, nutrition keeps your immune system strong and you are not prey of
cold viruses and other infections that'll make your life miserable. To learn
