GALACTICA.TV - Battlestar Galactica Cast and Crew Online Magazine

his online Battestar Galactica magazine offers
fans unique and new interviews of the people in
front of and behind the camera of all Battlestar
Galactica TV series.

Rotterdam, The Netherlands (GALACTICA.TV), June
13, 2007 - New and interesting interviews with
cast and crew of both the original and re-
imagined Battlestar Galactica TV series are
presented in an bi-monthly online magazine to
give unique insight in all aspects of the series.

In 2003, the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica
series was re-imagined, in the year of its 25th
anniversary. At this time the original series
still had one of the largest fan following of any
TV series ever made.

Marcel Damen and Mike Egnor were among this large
Battlestar Galactica fan following who still
cherished their childhood series and heroes after
three decades. In 2003 the DVD set of the
original Battlestar Galactica series was finally
brought out and this set them off to actually
find their childhood heroes again. Next to this
they also greatly enjoyed the storylines and
episodes of the new re-imagined series on TV at
that moment and became huge fans of that as well.

Only one year later they found over 150 of the
original Battlestar Galactica series cast and
crew and had letters and signed photos returned.
Their online signature collection was quickly
noticed by some convention organizers and before
they knew it they were helping to organize two
largest Battlestar Galactica cast reunions in
Europe ever done.

At the conventions relationships were tightened,
friendships with the cast were born and soon they
found themselves building websites for many of
the Battlestar Galactica main cast. In the mean
time they had also been started interviewing some
of the long lost cast and crew and often got
unique new stories no fan had ever heard over
three decades. Interviewing went well and they
quickly extended their project by including the
current, now immensely popular re-imagined
Battlestar Galactica series as well.

It set them off to create "GALACTICA.TV - the
Battlestar Galactica site that focuses on the
cast in front of and the crew behind the camera
of all Battlestar Galactica series". The site is
already an enormous success. Currently about 8,
000 fans/month find their way to the GALACTICA.TV
website for their bi-monthly shot of new
Battlestar Galactica interviews. Next to the
interviews the site also is building a database
of profile pages of every cast and crew member
ever worked on any of the Battlestar Galactica
series and it offers fans a platform to tell
their Battlestar Galactica stories and discuss
what makes them fans.

Next year, on the 30th anniversary of the
Battlestar Galactica series, Marcel Damen and
Mike Egnor in collaboration with the Battlestar
Fan Club hope to bring fans, cast and crew
together by organizing the largest reunion ever.
On a four day cruise, starting in LA, fans can
enjoy the combination of a holiday and a
Battlestar Galactica convention.

Marcel Damen has been a Battlestar Galactica fan
since the original 1978 series. Though he even
enjoyed Galactica 1980, he found new love for the
Battlestar Galactica series with the re-imagining
of it in 2003. It set him off to track down many
of the original 1978 cast and crew after three
decades. He currently works on many original and
re-imagined Battlestar Galactica related project
including some official sites for some of the
actors.
