The Importance of Customer Service

by Incredible Articles - Last Modified: 11/23/2007

any businesses are aware of their ROI. Whether a small business, or a large business, the ROI is a big part of whether you are successful or not. One way to increase your ROI is to increase the likelihood that your clients return to you again and again. We already know - or should be aware - that fantastic customer service creates better customer loyalty than even lower prices. I'm sure many of us have restaurants we will not patronize due to some bad server experiences, and there are some shops we choose to avoid if possible because of ill-mannered and crabby customer service personnel.

That's great for the retail industry, but what about non-retail businesses? If you want repeat business, you want your clients to know that you care about them! One of the simplest steps to take, is to send your most valuable clients (that would be all of them!) a small, tasteful thank you for your business card. Many banks and insurance companies that pride themselves on personal service send birthday cards to their customers. If you have that kind of information, it adds a little touch of "I care" to your service.

Remember, the more your customers think you're thinking about them, the more they will think about you. The more they think about you, the more likely they will be to recommend you to their friends and associates, and the more word of mouth business you will get.

It is one of the most cost effective and simplest ways to grow your business.
